Acupoint Family Wellness Meridian Acupuncture

MERIDIAN ACUPUNCTURE

Meridian acupuncture is based on the findings of Ancient Chinese Medicine. The belief that there are 12 principal meridians, or energy channels that run through the body. As well as 8 additional meridians.

The 12 meridians each contain acupressure points that directly correlate with internal organs. In order for the body’s Qi to freely flow these meridians must be clear of obstructions. As blockages develop through illness, disease, or daily stressors Qi is no longer able to flow. Acupuncture applies direct pressure to these pressure points in an effort to free the blockages. The more severe the blockage, the more sessions are needed. These 12 meridians are most commonly used in acupuncture today and have been found to successfully treat a myriad of complaints.
Acupoint Family Wellness Shu Scalp Acupunture

SHU SCALP ACUPUNCTURE

How Shu Scalp acupuncture is different - Compared to other forms of acupuncture, Shu Scalp acupuncture is fairly modern. It is a combination of both ancient and traditional acupuncture methods forming a therapy that has had tremendous support within the medical world. Traditional Acupuncture is used in conjunction with modern medical knowledge of how the Cerebral Cortex works and correlates with very specific points on the scalp. Fewer needles are used with this therapy and often results can be felt within moments of insertion. This is most effective for nervous system disorders. Paralysis, both general and localized, MS or multiple sclerosis, paralysis attributed to a stroke, and symptoms stemming from Bell’s Palsy have all been proven to benefit from scalp acupuncture.
Acupoint Family Wellness Master Tung Acupuncture

MASTER TUNG ACUPUNCTURE

How Master Tung Acupuncture is different - Master Tung’s acupuncture relies heavily on pressure points that are not located within the traditional chinese medicine meridians. The treatments he developed most often focus on the far distal points of the client’s complaints. Therefore the legs/feet and arms/hands are typically focused on. More than one needle is placed in an area local to the pressure points. This enables the client to immediately report positive or negative sensations relating to the needle’s locations.
Acupoint Family Wellness Auricular Acupuncture

AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE

How Auricular Acupuncture is different - Auricular Acupuncture focuses entirely on the external ear. Also referred to as Ear Acupuncture, this is commonly incorporated into traditional acupuncture. As with traditional acupuncture, auricular acupuncture is used to treat many ailments. Common reason a client may ask for this include common allergies, mild and severe anxiety, joint arthritis, chronic and acute pain, chronic constipation, depression, fibromyalgia, headaches, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, low back pain, and migraines.
